FRIDAY 11th APRIL

On Friday morning we were dragged out of bed at 5.30am and loaded onto the bus. We didn't mind because we all went straight back off to sleep and when we woke up were at...... Disneyland Paris!
We danced up Main Street.....
and went exploring in Adventureland.

Then we headed for the rides.
Pirates of the Caribbean!!
Buzz Lightyear!!
Thunder Mountain!!
Star Wars Tour......
....and Fantasyland!!

Forget Space Mountain-Casey Junior was the best train ride ever!!!

And the Teacups were just the best!!
We were exhausted by 7 o'clock and after a mad half hour of shopping in the massive Disney Store, we headed back to the bus and promptly fell asleep for the long journey back to Chopwell.

We have had a fabulous week-lots of new experiences that have pushed us to our limits but loads of fun and laughter too!

Thank you to Miss Musgrove, Mrs Dodd, Mrs Jackson, Miss Hume, Mrs Charlton and Mr Coates for taking care of us this week.

We hope they enjoyed the Chateau Beaumont experience as much as we did!!

At the Animal Sanctuary there were so many unusual creatures to stare at!!
The weather was so hot and sunny we didn't even need our red coats.

We bought bags of popcorn to feed to the animals. Throwing the popcorn at the cages wasn't very successful so Chloe developed a foolproof method-skewered on the end of a stick!!
Leo and Robert just loved this little monkey-I wonder why!!

There were lizards and racoons....................

 ....wallabies and bears!

Then the highlight of the visit-BABOON ISLAND!!
I think some of them might have escaped!!

There were so many rescued animals to see and we loved all of them-the best bit was when a lion (in a cage!) charged at everyone and Miss Musgrove screamed so loud then almost fainted!!!

Next we went to the chocolate factory-yum! Free samples!
We watched a video about how all of the chocolates are made which made our mouths water.
Then we toured the Chocolate Museum where there are lots of sculptures all made out of chocolate. Robert loved the Chocolate Lego.
Then there was the chocolate wolf.....
and the chocolate goblins!
After buying (and eating) lots of chocolate goodies we returned to the Chateau for our final evening-the Talent Show and Disco Party.

THURSDAY 10th APRIL

We got up on Thursday morning to brilliant sunshine! After breakfast we took part in our next 3 adventure activities.
Fencing was first! It was very tricky getting the gear on but it is important to stay safe in all of these activities.

Ryan enjoyed dressing up and loved the contours of his fencing suit..."Look at my 6-pack! I want one of these for Christmas Mum!"

Then, with a slap of the glove, it was "I challenge you to a dual!"
and "I accept!"
ENGARDE!!

The next activity was Nightline where we had to put on black goggles so that we couldn't see anything at all. We did some training to teach us how to stay together in a group and help each other with directions and instructions.

Then we set off around a gruelling obstacle course where we had to walk, crawl, climb, commando roll, slide and...........

get soaking wet!!!!!! and filthy dirty!!!!!!!
And who do you think was responsible for the Teacher's Revenge?

We were very wet but it was fantastic fun!

Finally we went to the climbing wall-it's very high so again we had lots of safety instructions and put on all of the safety gear.

There are 2 walls to climb-one is flat and easier while the second is more like a cliff wall and really difficult. Robert and Shay really rose to the challenge! Well done!
Kaitlyn managed the hard one easily-Spider Girl!!
Mr Coates had to be winched down. (Weak legs!!!)

By then end of the morning we were all starving so it was off for a delicious buffet lunch before our afternoon trip to the Animal Sanctuary!
